“Del Gallo a la Liebre” es una videoinstalación que desafía las convenciones de la supervivencia e invita a reflexionar sobre la interconexión entre vida, muerte y azar, manifestada a través de una exploración profunda de la materia.
La obra, cargada de peso, texturas, olores y símbolos, nos confronta con la fragilidad y la resistencia de la existencia humana. En este entramado emergen el artista Joseph Beuys y el narcotraficante Pablo Escobar como figuras centrales de una narrativa videomaterial, cada uno encarnando dimensiones distintas de la experiencia humana.
Mediante la materialidad de la instalación, se indagan las coincidencias matéricas entre estas dos figuras aparentemente disímiles: la lucha por la supervivencia, la confrontación con la muerte y la inevitable intersección entre poder y fragilidad en su propio tonelaje. El gallo de pelea derrotado, la hoja de oro y el cebo animal se entrelazan con la figura emblemática de la liebre —símbolo recurrente en la obra de Beuys—, configurando un diálogo provocador entre la cultura popular y el arte, que nos conduce hacia paisajes de tensión y memorias colectivas.

“From the Rooster to the Hare” is a video installation that challenges the conventions of survival and invites reflection on the interconnection between life, death, and chance, articulated through a profound exploration of matter.
The work, laden with weight, textures, scents, and symbols, confronts us with the fragility and resilience of human existence. Within this framework, artist Joseph Beuys and drug lord Pablo Escobar emerge as central figures in a videomaterial narrative, each embodying distinct dimensions of human experience.
Through the materiality of the installation, the piece investigates the material coincidences between these two seemingly disparate figures: the struggle for survival, the confrontation with death, and the inevitable intersection of power and fragility in their very tonnage. The defeated fighting rooster, the gold leaf, and the animal fat intertwine with the emblematic figure of the hare—a recurrent symbol in Beuys’s work—configuring a provocative dialogue between popular culture and art, leading us toward landscapes of tension and colective memory.
